NFEH is affiliated with the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Government of Pakistan. It is also supported by the Ministry of Environment, Government of Sindh. It is committed to serve and promote the cause of healthcare and protection of natural environment by creating awareness among all segments of society. NEFH has been successfully organizing various interactive events to meet its desired objectives.

NFEH has been taking a firm stand on various environmental issues. It also participates in advocacy and attempts to generate awareness about environmental issues. NFEH organizes events and seminars, and institutes awards for those who deploy environment friendly practices in their industries as well as in the social sector.

Annual Environment Excellence Awards were instituted five years ago and have elicited a very enthusiastic response from the industry. These awards have become the benchmark for the standards that need to be followed.

The Annual Environment Excellence Awards are designed to recognize and promote the organizations which make an outstanding contribution to sustainable development.

They aim to highlight policies, practices, processes and products from all sectors of business in the country, which help achieve economic and social development without detriment to the environment and natural resources.
